My recollection is that Americans generally supported the troops but did not agree with the government. You know, the American way of freedom, which we are fast losing today.

I don't list many things I have done in my life. 4 years military service is not any more valid than many others not in my list.
Incidentally, can you cite evidence that it was wide spread practice for Americans to spit on returning Vietnam Vets? I luckily missed that part of my honorable discharge.

I am one of your "liberal lunatics" (no ad hominem, right?). I also served four years Air Force (Vietnam era). In my view, any veteran who supports the real lunatic in the WH cares little about this country's constitution, not to mention the duty of the military to uphold it and not a him.
