It's a lot easier to add something like a small optional swamp region to the game when I can palette swap the grass and the rocks and then draw a couple cattail variants and end up with all the art I need in under an hour

One of the most important things I've been leaning into with the art in Stomp is if any single asset takes more than like 30 minutes to draw it better be really important. Also just recolouring some assets when I can. All the background art really is just simple coloured shapes

I'm really confident in the quality of the demo (and the game as a whole), it's just a matter of getting enough eyes on it at this point. Hopefully we can get across the finish line! 💛

I said this back during the Frogsong KS and I'll say it again - word of mouth is the best form of advertising, by a landslide. It would mean the world to me if you share the demo and the KS with your friends once they drop. Tell content creators you like about it (without spamming!!)

I think I've said this before but... I'm genuinely REALLY anxious about this Kickstarter. So much about the entire social media landscape has changed in the past 4 years since I did my last KS, it's so hard to tell if anything I do will work or if I have any lasting reach after releasing Frogsong.
