I'm under the impression that mixed races often look more like the mom/birthing parent rather than the dad (and I have a theory on how it would make sense!). Also in Tails of Heroes, my fanfic, there's several of what I call Miqo'garleans

#tailsofheroesHCs thanks to the Echo, X'cirha can technically speak ANY language assuming he's addressing a speaker, but he's making an effort to actually learn several in their grammar and structure - starting with Common Sign Language.
