Just thinking about that story about inhalers causing the same emissions as 500k cars as I biked my child through a sea of cars to the pediatrician.

We got her lungs rechecked and were instructed to use a second inhaler for a few days.

If only there were a way to offset those inhaler emissions.

I always buy something fancy at Vennture, so I never get out for less than $7.

But it’s also run by great people who have created a neighborhood hub, and I want that to continue so 🤷🏻‍♀️.

A super cool* thing about the shutdown is that the paychecks federal employees get this week are only for 70 percent of their normal wages but 100 percent of their normal deductions were taken out.

There are secure bike pods that @shabazzstuart.bsky.social has developed. I’d also love to see the city incentive landlords to turn under-utilized space into bike parking. (I used to live in a big building with a lobby that rarely got used…instead of piano, we could’ve used bike parking.)

Milwaukee has, overall, a great street grid. It also has a high poverty levels, which puts car ownership out of reach for so many people.

Imagine what we could be with a few hundred miles of protected bike lanes and an ebike rebate program.

since denver launched its e-bike rebate program - the have sold 10,000 e-bikes and reduced an estimated 1,000,000 car trips - replacing millions of VMTs and reducing air pollution

The thing that I told Ron Johnson’s legislative director back in 2017 is that what people really want is stability & predictability.

I know that if I go to the ER, it will cost me a $250 copay for whatever treatment I get. There is no guesswork. That makes a huge difference.

Everyone loves to complain about the dearth of late night dining options in Milwaukee, but what is up w/all these bakeries that open late on weekends? Rocket Baby, Ruby’s, Allie Boys open at 8, and it’s come to my attention that Poppy doesn’t open until 9.

Some of us have perimenopausal insomnia!

Like yes, that’s it, if I think yogurt’s not as nice as eggs, I’ll definitely prefer yogurt with POWDER added to it!
