Little admin tip -- remember to change the address on your invoice templates after you move house/register at a new address.

Vimeo now requires age verification to look at videos. AI looks at a selfie to decide if you're old enough, or you can show ID, lol. AI thinks I look much younger than my 55 years. If you send porn screeners to festivals, don't host on Vimeo if you want us to be able to watch them.

It makes me really happy to see our festival laurels on other people's films and posters, and not just because I came up with the design. I'm not really sure I can explain why. I always get a little burst of pride and feel all warm when it happens though.

In Berlin for a long weekend. I have the idea that any park can be a cruising area after dark.
Now that I'm sitting in a park, I'm beginning to wonder if that's true. It's not dark for a couple hours, so let's see later if this is the case.

Name change application finally accepted. 7th time's a charm.
Let's see if the process will be finished fast enough that I'll also be able to get an updated birth certificate. At least I had the good luck to be born in California.

I feel this. About to submit my 7th -- yes, you read that right -- attempt at changing my name in California. Beginning to be quite skeptical, and trying not to worry that they'll decide not to change my birth certificate.

Festival was so good. I'm so tired! Loads of really positive feedback from attendees, some nice messages and offers of collaboration afterwards. Festival drop is a real thing.
