If Congress doesn’t work together to save the ACA tax credits, Nevadans could see their premiums jump from $595 to $2,021 a month — a $1,425 increase for the same plan.

Health care costs have risen faster in Nevada than anywhere else, we need to get serious about keeping costs down for families.

@allinwithchris.bsky.social when do you start covering the Climate Crisis EVERYDAY. The Guardian does it.

There are lots of critical stories, but I think you can carve out 5 minutes 4 days a week.

The recent study was conducted by AutoInsuranceEZ, an American insurance co, based on data from the National Transportation Safety Board, Bureau of Transportation Statistics and recall data. According to the study, gas engines have a significantly higher number of fires than fully electric vehicles.

People do what they know and don't have the curiosity to try new things. They just keep repeating the same dumb patterns and mistakes.

I've had an EV for 1-3/4 years and NONE of the fearmongering that appears in the mainstream media or on social media is true.

You've obviously never been to a race or driven on an American freeway.

I hope the climate in your bubble is good. Bye Bye.

Half of my consulting business is with CA cities, these numbers sound about right to me. The thing is 95% of drivers/commuters don't understand their commute/work trips are not long hauls and if they have a charger at home/work, it is just not an issue.

AI says: Considering the different roles:
Maintenance crews: These employees may drive as little as 30–40 miles per day while traveling between work sites.
Supervisory or inspection roles who oversee multiple sites across a large region may drive more than 100 miles on a busy day.

The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning has an EPA-estimated range of up to 240 miles with the Standard Range battery and 320 miles with the Extended Range battery.

It’s hard to imagine a public works employee checking storm drains or fixing potholes driving more than that during a work day.

And with our oil, gas and coal subsidies, the American taxpayers are paying to be proselytized (conned)

That is right. It is all about charging, and in fact 85% of charging for personal use EVs happens in the garage at home at night (much easier unless you enjoyed pumping at a gas station). The same is true for municipal fleets that sit in corporate yards overnight or get driven to the users home.
