I'm trying to recreate some basic features of Don't Starve in @construct.net. Why is 2.5D development so much fun? Trickery left and right :) Terrain is on a 3D layer, but billboards are on a 2D one, so there's no perspective distortion, but they do scale.

We made another jam game! Wordpile is a bit like mahjong, but you have to find words to remove tiles.
So far it has 2 game modes (one chill, one intense), 6 layouts, 3 difficulty levels and supports English, Hungarian and Slovak languages.

We started prototyping a tiny jam game the other day with the intention of joining the HEJ jam in March. One of the themes is "spring", so we went with a 2D pogo stick movement mechanic:

A fellow attendee of the Hungarian "Havi Egy Játék" (One Game a Month) jam series made a very neat (English) summary of his experience of making 12 games in 2024. I highly recommend this format to anyone who's at the start of their game dev journey.
