I just ran through this and while it is, as it says in the name, adorable, the scent-tracking mechanic is also an interesting little expansion of open world exploration gameplay.

Wonderful game!
A few notes though:
- Hoping for keyboard+mouse support in the final.
- Managed to glitch myself under the floor right at the bit where you learn the jump. Jumped, somehow glitched through scenery.
- Steam screenshots (F12) are very broken. 👇

That entire beastiary section in the game was the most unhinged creepy shit, despite (mostly) nothing happening.

That mask tracking you when you don't look at it is nightmare fuel.

One thing I was wondering about some time ago is that if this stuff succeeds, large publishers will be incentivized to turn all their games into a subscription model, because then they could argue you're paying for a service they can stop providing rather than a one-time purchase you own. 😬

The general idea would be that you usually have some sort of end-of-turn event (like the shot finishing) at which point you have a counter that you increment or decrement: If it reaches a certain number, you set the next player as active, and set up the next shot and reset the counter.

I think part of your Googling issue is that (IIRC) you're making a turn-based game, while "round system" nowadays is mostly for simultaneous multiplayer (and remember, UE is essentially just a vehicle for Fortnite)

Neither are hard to implement though.
