It is bugging me a little that at the end of the day I want to just exit my office immediately and go decompress, but that's where my TV is, like that's where my stuff is because my PC controls my stuff

Constantly reminded that for hundreds of years after the South American silver mines had essentially run out there continued to be vast resources pumped into the idea that previous regimes hadn’t been extractive enough rather than the idea that the value simply didn’t exist.

I've played a lot of solitaire games over the years and am struggling to follow what the fuck is going on here, in part because its *excessively* overstimulating, but also what
People were asking if there’s Solitaire behind the dark patterns and… not really? It’s more dark patterns - the Solitaire framing gives them a bunch of unrevealed cards they can determine the value of as needed to either make you win (feels good) or lose (forcing you to spend money to keep going)
