They think they can appease their enemies and they cannot. This is an era in which fights must be picked. This one has been foisted on the BBC. They should contest it with the all the might they can, all the same.

The BBC and Starmer’s Labour govt share much in common. They’re easily bullied and often afraid, as institutionalised too often are, of exercising their own power. They then appear weak and ineffectual. They’re judged against standards to which their critics would themselves would never adhere...

Kind of crazy that evidence is mounting that the world is run by a group of rapists, pedophiles, and men convinced of women’s inmate natural inferiority, and the pundit class is trying to convince us that the real social crisis is that men are victimized and lonely because women have too many jobs.
You just know that “Did Women Ruin the Workplace?” bit would have done NUMBERS in this little clique
Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

Ha, I do this too.
My Christian name is five letters long and has double consonant in position 3&4. Spell my name incorrectly in an email and I will spell your name incorrectly on purpose. My favourite was calling Mandy Andy for weeks.

First time I’ve noticed it being in Blighty but these flags on lampposts look pathetic. All drooped at half mast 😂

I see the athletic is doing its quarterly “stop accessing streams” propaganda. Maybe, just maybe, if fans were not getting ripped off left right and centre for 3 or 4 subscriptions & companies with rights actually showed every game they can, folk might not do it so much…

Also look forward to us getting spanked in the next 4 and Farke telling us all we’re emotionally stunted

Seems the club won’t make a change. Sure it’ll be fine…but it does feel a lot like Groundhog Day though. It’s 22/23 all over again and whilst they like to pretend they weren’t around (we remember you taking a victory lap in 20/21 Paarage), the 49ers seem to have learnt Jack.

It’s Leicester city away in 22/23…they bottled the decision that was needed then…
That’s a “directional defeat”… not just about the 90 minutes but about what the performance says what we’re trying to do and how well we’re doing it. Sadly, our weaknesses have become easy to exploit and our strengths, such as they are, easy to nullify. Can’t see this getting better. #lufc

Starting to think it might not be the best idea to approach every away game like it's a trip to Dinamo Tbilisi in the third round of the European Cup circa 1982 #lufc

I appreciate Farke has been dealt a bad hand re recruitment but there is no plan. Standard substitution when losing etc. and if we are going to make a change, surely 22/23 taught us now or never…and with Rogers unemployed…

This is also a problem in the non-profit sector, where people think that leadership making six figures is a sin against the public interest, not realizing that means you’re getting leadership that is either inept or independently wealthy.
people hate hearing this but it's 100% true, creating a huge pay gap between political leaders, their staffs, and other elites is a recipe for corruption. of course the flip side of that is taxes on the rich should be jacked way the hell up
The Mayor of New York only makes $260k. I bet there are police that make more than that in NY with overtime.

We need to pay elected leaders more money and stop pretending it's some sort of calling. They're managing hundreds of billions of dollars in investments and millions of people's lives.

Remember my dad sharing a similar view with me when I was a kid. Argued the prime minster is vastly underpaid when they’re, in effect, the CEO of a country. Don’t disagree but it’ll never happen

To be clear: the law is draconian, I don't want to see any football fan (even Carragher) punished for setting off a smoke bomb and I'd personally like to see pyro decriminalised. But if a regular fan were caught doing what Carragher did, they'd be facing a criminal record. Many already have.

The use (even possession) of pyrotechnics at (or even near) a UK football ground is punishable by up to three months in jail, yet Jamie Carragher is being celebrated for holding a lit flare on the Dortmund fan march in Manchester last night. One rule for some?

The sheer greasy desperation from these bastards that any violent crime is committed by an immigrant so they can continue their grift. Even when they know it isn't true. Foul.
Matt Goodwin attributes a crime that he now knows appears to have been committed by people born in Britain in the early 1990s to "mass uncontrolled immigration"
