I worked for TSA during Trump’s 5 week shutdown.It took major callouts by ATC 2 get Congress off their ass & reopened in 3 days.I that the ATC’s are firing warning shots before the shutdown goes on 2 long.A few are calling off & the longer the shutdown goes (IMO) the more ATC will increase callouts

I was a TSA Officer during that time & let me tell you that nothing kills morale faster than being told you’re required to work but you won’t get paid. Thanks to ATC getting tired of the shit,they started mass call outs. Congress worked out a budget in 3 days after that.We worked 35 days w/out pay

The Air Traffic Controllers had enough of their shit during the first Trump Admin & when they were not paid for 5 weeks, they started having massive callouts (calling out sick) and the Federal Govt. said “oh shit” and had a deal in 3 days. I worked for TSA at the time and morale was zero. Scary!
