I think making people feel ashamed for being childish or trying too hard is some of crueler things you can do gto someone. I think softness is beautiful, I think passion is admirable. I think if anyone makes you feel like that they're the fool, not you.

For me, like 12 years of theater. I think accepting the ick is a good start. Accept that you aren't always funny, sexy, cool. Accept that sometimes the embarrassing bits are just as special and precisous and lovable. Learn to ignore the imaginary audience and follow what feels good.
