It's that time again, gonna leave this pinned and just comment as we go on stuff I watch/play/read whatever!
I liked Kena and the new Castlevania looked nice too, so I guess 2 games out of 500000 is a pretty good ratio for a SoP.

Stuff like people practicing in the park or the little dudes driving the cleaning cars around are also really nice, lol. I'm taking a good while just running around and seeing things.

I wasn't ready for how cool Wuling City was gonna be. Really like what they did with it, how it's clearly got all those fantasy things but it also adds a certain realistic touch with stuff like the cycling/running tracks, the visual style for shops etc. Plus it's MASSIVE.

I came here to drop a Brazil mentioned post but was beaten to it

Alas...

Best thing about the ZZZ 2.0 OST dropping is being able to loop the not-Kiseki boss theme at will, with good quality

Baldur’s Gate 3 is set for its own TV series on HBO!

It will be a continuation of the story from the Baldur's Gate 3 game and will be helmed by The Last of Us co-creator Craig Mazin. https://bit.ly/4r2FWxm

One of my new daily pleasures is firing up Endfield and going to the rabbit store and buying some junk and then reselling it at 400% the value at a friend's ship.

Now I just need a gacha character that I want to actually grab as Laevatein isn't really my cup of tea. I'm looking at Yvonne, but maybe I'll just save and keep my Endmin and Pog team while I wait for the next versions
January 26, 2026 at 11:40 AM
Curiously enough, the only point that hasn't quite grabbed me yet has been the story. It's a slow burn, and at times it does feel like not being familiar with OG Arknights makes the terminology and its meaning harder to grasp. Still, not a deal breaker, as everything else has been a lot of fun.
January 26, 2026 at 11:39 AM
It's still taking a lot of its systems from the Genshin kool-aid, but unlike games such as WuWa, which started out as the most "Genshin at home" attempt ever, it's refreshing to see a dev with a clear vision of their own take of the GI template from the get-go.
January 26, 2026 at 11:39 AM
I've played a lot of Endfield over the weekend and I'm quite enjoying my time with it. It's got this Genshin Impact meets Death Stranding vibe to it that makes exploring and messing around with the factories and shit really fun. I like its take on combat too, with all 4 charas on screen.
January 26, 2026 at 11:39 AM
Man, this week's JJK is the shit. Easily my favourite episode in the series, and one of the most exciting anime episodes I've seen in a good while.

The very first frame of the Fate Strange Fake OP has unfortunately killed any motivation I had to watch the show
January 10, 2026 at 7:49 PM
I'm not honestly not so into anime anymore, especially on caring about the production and stuff as a decade ago, but my impression as someone who only follows a couple shows per year now is that all the vfx animation and shit really has overshadowed choreography and movement in a lot of cases.
January 10, 2026 at 6:50 PM
First two episodes of Culling Game were pretty cool, and Naoya vs Choso had some really great cuts.

On the other hand, can't help but be a bit disappointed with how Yuta's scenes turned out. Thought it was some really sloppy swordfighting animation for the most part, weird movements everywhere etc
January 10, 2026 at 6:49 PM
Meanwhile jumped on 2.7 and did the 1st half of it and I'm really not feeling it, either. Again, the cutscenes are awesome, but everthing else simply hasn't clicked at all. It feels so convoluted at the start and then it feels like it drags around with stuff that someone thought was cool but isn't.
January 8, 2026 at 12:14 AM
But, hey, praise where praise is due, the team keeps leveling up where the cutscenes are concerned. That whole bit with Iuno vs Big Baddies at the end of her portion of the story looked WICKEDLY cool, and totally would've made me roll on her, lol.

The cutscene animation/direction is top notch atm
January 4, 2026 at 7:46 PM
Which is to say, this is still one of my biggest gripes with WuWa's writing. The moment to moment stuff works for the most part, and the devs are incredibly capable of making COOL stuff, but they also have such a hard time at keeping the characters they write all feel relevant and involved...
January 4, 2026 at 7:43 PM
...Augusta and Iuno were the ones who really hit it off before, and had a true bond. The stuff with Rover just feels like waifu bait and sure, I get it, he's the MC and shit, but there really was no point to having this be all about him and her and not including Augusta imo.
January 4, 2026 at 7:41 PM
At the same time, as soon as patch changed and Iuno's story kicked off, the game so unapologetically brushed Augusta aside that it was funny, lol. For all intents and purposes, completely forgetting she exists and focusing solely on Rover felt like a really bad decision, especially since...
January 4, 2026 at 7:41 PM
I don't want to go into mega spoilers so I'll try to be vague, but the big scene with Iuno before the Sovereign fight feels kinda hollow because the writers didn't really build it up very well, and context for it only gets added later, during HER patch, lol. It felt just so weird.
January 4, 2026 at 7:41 PM
Jumped back on WuWa to do more of the main story and just cleared Augusta and Iuno's portion of it. There's some great music, great cutscenes and overall production, and the story as a whole isn't bad, but man, there are so many things where I feel like they could've done them better.
January 4, 2026 at 7:41 PM
Still, they're trying different things, and the more robust events like the Summer one (that got us a whole new area) and even this YSG event from 2.5 are steps in the right direction, because they feel like they're trying to connect the areas to the stories once again.
