Story of my Family!!! is a bit of a strange Covid-era dramedy with some fun wrestling elements but mostly about traditional Noh acting. Similarly, Tiger and Dragon features rakugo storytelling with a very Kazuma Kiryu-coded yakuza main character.

Genuinely one of the biggest surprises of Justin's marathon from last year. Plus it was an introduction for me to the same creative team behind these two Japanese shows I started watching on Netflix recently that I'd wholeheartedly recommend. 💪

I've watched the first three episodes of the new Kamen Rider. Honestly? The only time I've watched a modern KR show and didn't feel immediately checked-out. I'm still more of a Showa/early Heisei era guy but the dream stuff is fun. How long until he fights Freddy Krueger?
