Watch with wonder as I mainly post about movies, giant Japanese superheroes, and art/commission stuff!
Back home with some dinner. Decided to finally crack open the 4K of Fire Walk with Me and just chill with it this evening. Seems appropriate as yesterday marked one year since David Lynch passed away. 🥀

A brief late afternoon excursion to the mall multiplex for some Korean cinema. I'd have gone to my usual locations, but thanks to it being a smaller release, I had ... No Other Choice. 😏

Technically tokusatsu?

Now watching. (Bless Tubi)

Gotta celebrate the small victories. I noticed these $11.99 dessert bars were all incorrectly labeled for $1.99. I took one and they had to accept the $1.99 price tag. I got fancy snacks at an 84% discount! 💪

Another season of Ultraman done and dusted - and it's good! I think it always takes time before I can really appreciate shows like this but I think it'll grow on me. It has some fascinating ideas and twists on the lore but it feels like there's never enough time to explore them fully in just 25 eps.

More like 7 months later, amirite?
This collectable ticket is a bit silly because it doesn't have my info on it and it doesn't try to even resemble a ticket. It's a bookmark, guys.

Finished up this one. Unfortunately not super enthusiastic about ones like this where the villains are mostly just human actors playing criminals with no monster suits but I do appreciate how *weird* things got towards the end of the show.

Uh, by chance does anybody have a million dollars I can have? No big reason, just looking to cross off one of my impossible dreams.

Happy #ThrowBuThursday! Today, I'm bringing back a pic I got from the amazing @kokukokuboo.bsky.social back in 2018! 🥰📷

Share the weirdest, wildest, wackiest, WTF-est film you think should be in the Criterion Collection -

Always trust Hong Kong to keep things interesting. The Boxer's Omen remains one of the few movies to almost literally blow my mind. Just a face-melting goopy gross good time.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of myself on this one.

Seriously, even looking back to 2020 (what a year, huh?) there is a *significant* drop off of what I played other than Animal Crossing. Further proof that I'm really not much of a gamer anymore, lmao.

I got the rundown of my time playing the Switch 1 and 2 (or as I like to call them sometimes, my Animal Crossing handheld where I also occasionally work out).

It's a quiet evening so I tried to make myself a grapefruit cocktail (no alcohol) and I'm pretty happy with it!!! 💪💪💪

It's fine, we all express our madness in different ways.

Found in the background while rewatching Devilman: Crybaby. Words I utter to myself every time I go literally anywhere:

Been feeling the blahs since New Years, needed to get out of the house and treat myself. So tonight it's dinner and monkee movee.

Wondering if I should do go in completely blind to a one-night IMAX event of Japan's entry for Best International Film at this year's Oscars - a *three hour* drama about kabuki actors that spans multiple decades.

Thinking back to when I watched Champions of Justice (1971) a few weeks back. Luchador Mil Máscaras (a wrestler known to never wear the same mask twice) effortlessly switches masks without showing his face. It's one of the coolest things I've seen in recent memory. 😂

Me, quietly to myself on the couch: "Let the beefcakes fight. 💪"

Seems like after watching big snooty award shows, I have to follow them up with some real cinema as a palate cleanser.

Back in the 80s, we knew how to properly decorate hotel/motel rooms.

Saturday night!!! Time to watch bad movies starring people who have zero acting abilities!!

My recording of the Ultraman Live stage show in November has 1000 views and 15 likes, which (to me) is the equivalent of one million views and 15 billion likes.
