So much has changed since 2018. The entire thought process behind decks has changed. We didnt have limitless back in the day. People homebrewed a lot more and added their own unique spin. That era of the tcg is gone, and it is quite sad.

I don't regret leaving Twitter, but I feel less connected to the Pokémon TCG community since I did. It's not always a bad thing, but from a competitive standpoint I don't see the discussion around new decks, techs, and so on, that I used to be able to read.

I really hope that Expanded comes back in some kind of official capacity because the Pult+Gard dominance of the meta speaks to a lack of deck diversity and creativity, not so much the fault of players as much the game designers and rotational schedule.

Especially now that JustinBasil/Jason has passed away, it really demonstrates the value of archiving the web and democratizing knowledge. We owe so much to hobbyists who do what they do just for the love of the game. The web is built by generous people like that.

The best resource for Pokemon is JustinBasil, the best for Hearthstone is (I guess arguably) D0nkey, and they're always just labour of loves, and those dudes rock

Especially now that JustinBasil/Jason has passed away, it really demonstrates the value of archiving the web and democratizing knowledge. We owe so much to hobbyists who do what they do just for the love of the game. The web is built by generous people like that.
