My spouse pulled data from the CDC’s MMWR team on a weekly basis for her company to include with public health reports. That entire team has just been RIFed by Trump.

Mission-critical activities of CDC will continue during the Democrat-led government shutdown. Certain federal government activities have ceased due to a lack of appropriated funding. Not only will businesses and consumers pay the tariffs, but we will also simply not be able to get products.

I’ve already run into a couple of items that European companies have simply decided they will no longer sell to American markets because of the tariffs.
