"The mark of a good & decent society is whether it sees the value in helping others." May we become a good and decent society.
What did people do before SNAP?”

They died.

Healthcare, vaccines, disability support, education & food assistance are vital to our survival.

They’re why the average lifespan isn’t 35 anymore

The mark of a good & decent society is whether it sees the value in helping others.
And that is exactly what I crave in our politicians...a good heart. A respect for truth, honor and integrity.
I recall the nuns drilling it into my being that we must not hate anyone. Yet, I hate him, too, & now I have to go to confession!!! That doesn't mean I don't pray for him tho. I pray for all of our politicians who have traded truth, honor & integrity for power, fame and fortune. May they repent.
Canadians are doing some excellent work. I understand they are also working on meds to help those with long Covid. I pray that gets approved soon enough that my husband can take advantage of it. BTW, I think all the appliances in my home are from Canada, too. Great craftsmanship / quality.
Our touch faucet has me slapping faucets everywhere. You should see me slapping away when I make coffee at Church! Very frustrating. I thought these things were supposed to fail in the off position, like if the batteries go out. So you likely have a ghost with no regard for your water bill!
I used to be a Republican (although as God is my witness...the whole balanced budget, limited gov't overreach meant something to me. Still does, which is why I am no longer a Republican.
I love this guy so much but of course hailing from the Midwest, I also get him. Wow...salt of the earth. I miss that in our politics.
I like how you put this. Back in the before times when I was a normie Republican I remember being horrified by AOC, but she is maturing as well and compared to the actually horrifying things going on now, I wasted some energy on that. Your position on the NYC mayer is a sound one.

Great wealth does not equal wisdom. Stop treating monied people like their opinions are of more value than learned people.
Generally attributed to Churchill re: the Greeks, "Hence, we will not say that Greeks fight like heroes, but that heroes fight like Greeks!" For all the Greeks celebrating Όχι Day, today. ζήτω η Ελλάδα! Your example is an inspiration to the rest of us.
On one hand my thinking was this was a great ploy to line the pockets of cardiologists and the makers of Ozempic but then I remember when they told us not to eat eggs because of cholesterol. While I disagree w/ Jr. on the sat fat thing, I do think we need to improve our nutrition science.
What? Is there some kind of cardiologist lobby they are trying to appease? 'Cause that surely could bring in some big business! Or...the other thing, perhaps increase demand for Ozempic? I guess this is one of those follow the $ things.
The thing w/ Reagan...of course he didn't write that outstanding assessment on tariffs BUT he was smart enough to hire people who could. Reagan intentionally hired smart people. That was his yardstick, not loyalty. Were his experts wrong at times, sure, as all experts can be, but not this time.
Word of warning...don't take a Caribbean cruise right now. I would probably lay off on a cruise in the Pacific as well. Not bc the US gov't will blow it up but bc the enemies of the US gov't will. That's how this stuff works. It is a law of physics.
So really our hope is in the next generation. Only the boomers still watch network news, Fox or otherwise. Perhaps all that weed and acid transformed the boomer brain? (BTW, full disclosure, I am a boomer but I honestly don't get how we could have gotten this stupid.)
Clearly having acting credentials doesn't mean one can think his way out of a paper bag.
This was brilliantly thought out and written. The line about subsidizing subsidizing poor management and inefficiency struck me particularly as well as the references to lack of competition. Remember US cars in the 1970's - how they suffered from poor QC? Thanks to Japan for fixing that for us.
This to the nth degree. And I admit...it is difficult living amongst them now. I know more than anyone how elitist it sounds but I am being honest. I wish it wouldn't sound that way but I know it does.
I wouldn't worry so much about it. He is failing rapidly and 3 years is a long time in old man years.

Maybe repeating but here’s the entire video that manbaby was upset about
Tariffs - a subsidy on poor management and inefficiency....brilliant! What a well thought out rebuke. Anyone remember the low quality cars we suffered with in the 70's. Thank goodness Japan taught us how to do it right.
And this is yet another example of why hypocrisy reigns supreme in Big Eva. They must have stopped teaching that bible story about Jesus, the woman and the stoning...you know, "let he who has no sin cast the first stone". Honestly I don't know why He puts up with us.
