Realized I passed the 50% point on my RAID a while ago and am now looking at building a new unit. Crazily HDD prices have come down such that I’m looking at a 192TB setup for about the same as my previous 48TB build.

Manhattan councilwoman Julie Menin would appear to be the new NYC council chair. I photographed her last week at an event held by ABNY, The Association for a Better New York.

Reading Octavia Butler’s Kindred and seeing that the Venn diagram between the faceless thugs terrorizing folks and patrollers is a single circle.

All these enforcement regimes are sleeper cells for this particular form of racialized violence — break glass in case of class consciousness.

I wish the music reviewers of Apple Music got a byline. There’s good writing in there, and it’s a shame to elide individual contributions away to corporate uniformity. Seeing a name attached to a bit of writing is another data point that helps build trust, especially in this new era of AI slop.

i hope to see enterprising democrats announce their intent to retire schumer and gillibrand over the next two years.
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

It takes a lot of people, time, and passion to build anything in New York City. So it was an honor to document the creation of this particular 611 unit all affordable development. Thanks to New York City Housing Partnership for the call!

It’s amazing what good sound does to a project. I’ve been working on a short film with no music and a placeholder mix in place for weeks, and hearing it now with a beautiful score and diegetic sound and well mixed boom audio… puts a huge smile on my face. Looking forward to sharing it here soon.

Just received word of the passing of a great photographer, Rosalind Fox Solomon. I am very grateful I had the opportunity to get to know her and work briefly in her studio in 2016, digitizing parts of her archive. She had a keen and compassionate eye and there’s simply no one else like her.
