Farmworkers feed America — often in dangerous conditions for low wages.

Last summer, at a legal clinic we hosted with @ufw.bsky.social, we heard directly from immigrant farmworkers about their experiences working in the field.

“Rosa” shared this pic of her crew returning to the fields to finish harvesting cilantro after their morning break near Moorpark CA. She works piece rate so needs to work as fast as she can but on especially hot days like today, must take a break so she can hydrate. #WeFeedYou

"Julia's" picking tomatoes CA San Joaquin Valley. " I get up at 2am to get ready for the day. We start work early cause of the heat. Once it gets hot, we can't harvest as fast. We usually work 4-5 hrs. It's hard, but this is peak season when we could earn the most." #WeFeedYou

This tractor driver in CAs San Joaquin Valley needs to wait approximately an hour while the tomato harvesters fill up his bin. It’s in the 90s & 100s and since his tractor doesn't have an overhead cover or air conditioning it can be excessively hot. #WeFeedYou
