Eh? Most native UK people don’t have “A-level English”. What a load of tosh.

Farage is such a rancid little toad. He’s so unoriginal blaming the big boys for doing it.
callaghanmt.bsky.social
It’s because they are. We should stop pretending that people have “legitimate concerns”. They don’t. They are drunken, violent racist scum, plain and simple.
callaghanmt.bsky.social
There is an outside chance that they'll get into power, yes. But can you imagine the incompetence of Farage and co. in power? They have no policies, no expertise, no knowledge. Where would they find 100 quality MPs to take on government positions?
callaghanmt.bsky.social
It's worse than that. It's fed into their eyes via Facebook and TikTok and many of them believe every word of it. We have something like 35% of the UK population whose gullibility has been weaponised to the degree that they'll vote in a Farage government.

Agreed! The language that gambling ads use to normalise gambling as a harmless pastime is dreadful.

So how do you differentiate between “good AI” and “bad AI”? Eg. Google’s AlphaEvolve has already improved data centre cooling; AlphaFold has helped accelerate biological research. Loads more examples - or is it just consumer AI you object to?

Here he is (or was in 2019…) on a vending machine in Tokyo:

They’re offering a return to rickets and diphtheria. What is wrong with these people?

How on earth anyone can take Musk’s band of little incel rats seriously is beyond me. Sad to see them so far down the rabbit hole at such a young age.

This isn’t going to end well, is it? We can see it heading to a very sticky end. Even more worrying is that 30-odd percent of the US population seem to be happy with the hardcore fascism. And they have guns.

With all the chaos going on in the world today - all those blossoms add a little cheer! Thanks for that :)

And 70 million Americans voted for it.
callaghanmt.bsky.social
I’m still struggling to understand why so many Americans have given Trump, Musk and their merry band of little incel rats to cause so much damage.
callaghanmt.bsky.social
And what did he do the day after? Play golf. What an idiot.
callaghanmt.bsky.social
These people are just making themselves look ridiculous now. The USA is being ridiculed all over the world.
callaghanmt.bsky.social
70-odd million Americans voted for him so surely that’s what they want? I do feel a bit sorry for all of those that didn’t vote Trump but the end of American imperialism & exceptionalism can’t come quickly enough for the rest of the world.
callaghanmt.bsky.social
In fact, all the rest of the world will be doing this too and trading freely with each other. Thus sidelining the USA for ever. Trump doesn’t understand that the USA is not as strong as he believes. Sadly the only people that will suffer are the US public.
callaghanmt.bsky.social
No, and that’s sad for the USA. 70 years of soft power destroyed in a few weeks and never to return. Trump is making the USA inconsequential on the world stage, but perhaps that is be design to make him Emperor.

The other half of the challenge is persuading people that the extra tax gets spent on better public services, pensions etc. that they can see improving their lives and those of their friends and family. Unfortunately, our right wing press would have a field day with stories of the “undeserving”.

Like quite a few others, I left X and deleted my account a while back. This is a much nicer place.
