Getting set up with a new therapist. The referral form only let me select "male" or "female" but then the intake form let me specify my gender identity as non-binary. Getting mixed signals here.

I dated a guy in uni whose name was James but he went by Jake. Two of my grandparents went by names that weren't even close to their birth names. My great-uncle is called Buster, which is not his "real" name (I don't even know what it is). But when I choose to be Maverick, it's suddenly a problem.
Baffled by transphobes insisting that the name on your birth certificate is Your True Name Forever when it was common in my grandparents' generation to just...pick a name you like and use that, nbd. I literally found out both of my grandma's birth certificate first names FROM THEIR OBITUARIES.

Managed to manipulate the algorithm on my Instagram into showing me only Hannibal and Supernatural reels for about 30 minutes of scrolling. That was fun.
