One of my most favorite places in the world is Montaña de Oro state park (California). This is slightly morbid, but I don’t know, it speaks to my heart, when I do pass on, I can’t think of a better place to have my ashes scattered, it’s always given me peace.

I don’t know why, but I’m randomly thinking of the yellow Dino from the Flintstones rocking horse that I had as a toddler, I don’t know why it was yellow, but I remember it being Dino and it’s so weird because it’s like I’m walking right past it right now, so bizarre. Human memory is…odd.

I have been rewatching the movie Deep Impact and I am realizing that the comet or potential rescue is not the most notable/fanciful aspect of the film, but rather it’s the idea that the world now could be even remotely rational in the face of disaster that’s a true fantasy.

Guess I’m just morbid, but I really don’t want old-timers like Robert Duvall, Patrick Stewart, Carol Burnett, Dick Van Dyke, Ian McKellen, Shirley MacLaine, Julie Andrews, Michael Caine, etc. to pass on. I know we all gotta go but each time feels like a needle in my perceived youth.

Kind of a weird thing, people should absolutely have the right to privacy (even in public spaces there should be a modicum of respect) but at the same time it’s really nice to see Bruce Willis still having mobility and enjoying the outdoors, just nice to see even a glimmer of health and happiness.

In this late hour, I am questioning the virtues of humanity, there are some who care but many who don’t,maybe we don’t deserve to exist. Humanity doesn’t seem beneficial to our planet, & it seems obvious but kind sad too, such a shame. I’ll pray for the people who are trying because they matter.

Millions across the the United States are just trying to live. Most of them not trying to milk the system or take advantage. They’re simply trying to live and people who lack compassion are trying to end the last vestige of hope. I get it, you’re resentful, but is it worth somebody’s empty stomach?

Today was my father’s birthday. I had such a…fraught relationship with him over the years, truly don’t think he meant ill will but he often seemed indifferent/absent when it came to me. I miss him regardless and mostly I feel bad that despite his drive for life, it was cut shorter than he deserved.

A while back I was craving Alpha-Bits only to learn they had discontinued it like four or five years ago lol. But hold-up, I just found out that they’re going to be re-releasing it (temporarily, of course) due to popular demand, and we will see if I actually go and buy it when it comes out 😂.
