Wallops often appear in Supper Mario Broth content, but due to their obscurity, are often mistaken for similar characters. The below image provides a comparison between all such entities.
Know the difference: Wallops and Wallop-likes Entries in green are subjective opinions included to provide context for Supper Mario Broth Wallop -Enemy that appears in Super Mario 3D Land -Moves side to side to block Mario's path and jumps whenever he jumps -Has never reappeared again (green)-Precious (green)-My only friend Walleye -Enemy that appears in Super Mario 3D World -Moves side to side to block Mario's path, doesn't jump -Entirely replaced Wallop, supplanting him in later titles like Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and the Mario Party series (green)-I do not begrudge him for existing, but I am saddened by Nintendo for not letting him coexist with Wallop Whimp -Small Whomps that appear only during the Whomp King boss battle in Super Mario Galaxy 2 --Named in a roundabout manner by the Super Mario Wiki (no English name -> Wiki invents "Whimp" -> Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia steals* it -> Nintendo of Japan canonizes it on official site) Blocky -Enemy from the Kirby series with a very similar design (and jumping attack) to Wallop -Actually based on the Rocky enemy from the Eggerland/ Adventures of Lolo series, also developed by HAL Laboratory and predating the Kirby series, with the first Rocky appearing in Eggerland 2 in 1986 Additional notes: -All of these (and the Whomp) are based on the nurikabe, a spirit from Japanese folklore that takes the form of a wall that intentionally blocks the way of travelers. *The English edition of the 2015 Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia has been proven to plagiarize content from fan-made sources. This was both directly admitted by a writer, and is visible with bizarre decisions such as taking non-English names if they were the only ones available, resulting in e.g. one Luma in Super Mario Galaxy being inexplicably French.

In the Wii series games, Wuhu Island is committed to clean air by only allowing electric vehicles. However, in Mario Kart 7, gas vehicles are used in the races. This implies that Mario made a deal with the Wuhu Island administration to receive exclusive pollution privileges.
Pilotwings Resort states that guests are only allowed to drive electric vehicles on Wuhu Island. Earlier in the series, in Wii Sports Resort, this was phrased as "only electric vehicles are allowed on the island". However, in Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart races take place on the island where the racers all use gas vehicles. This suggests that Mario gained special pollution privileges for his Mario Kart activities.
