This is what we want from our politicians.

It's not hard to identify right from wrong. It's a little harder to stand up and say it out loud... But if you've been elected to be a leader it is, literally, the LEAST you can do.

What WE need to do is to demand it if our leaders at every opportunity.

But boy is it expensive!

I looked into but local Honey at the Farmer's Market and it's not, like, 30% more than Costco... It's like 400% more...

That's hard to swallow.

We're talking about whether human, creative, artists could be *inspired* by anything other than 40k for flared greaves. & all of these could be reasonably & honestly, referenced as inspiration for modeling that feature

& SC, from a legal perspective, shows that GW doesn't own the visual concept

I think the Knight & Repulsor are pretty clear "rip-offs".

I'm actually softer on the Marines. I think GW helmet-faces, shoulderpad shape & backpack shape are the "key defining features" of Marines. While we're all steeped in Marine details, I think GW can't copyright "space armor w/ big shoulders"

GW has sued 3D sculptor Ghamak, not bc his models infringe on their IP, but bc his models *could* be used in their games. If GW wins it will set a bad precedent further eroding creative freedom & further limiting available minis.

I think all tabletop war game makers should all sue all other tabletop war game makers just to be safe. If someone else has a company that is competing with me then they are making it harder for me to make infinite money and that isn't fair to me.

That is my take/fear too. Not, specifically, that Ghamak will/won't stick around, but that the overall lawsuit is so broad as to set a really restrictive legal precedent across all companies/game systems/3rd party designers/creatives.

"exponentially" while many "millions of people die of hunger or survive in conditions unfit for human beings." He also criticized "ideologies that defend the absolute autonomy of the marketplace and financial speculation,"
with false promises "that a free-market economy will automatically solve the problem of poverty."

Leo described a "new tyranny," which shuns any kind of oversight and where the economy is structured "in such a way that sacrifices are demanded of the masses in order to serve the needs of the powerful." The poor, he wrote, are only allowed "drops that trickle down."

The pope openly challenged "prosperity theology" and called Christians to the practice of giving charity. "It will not solve the problem of world poverty, yet it must still be carried out, with intelligence, diligence and social responsibility," he wrote.

Popular movements that challenge "the empire of money," invite people to take on the cause to combat poverty alongside the poor, instead of on their behalf, and "make history," the pope said. It our duty, Leo said, to "make their voices heard, albeit in different ways, in order to point out and denounce such structural issues, even at the cost of appearing foolish or naïve."
