Being reported that Wales did not sign the anti-R360 letter because they are wary of the possibility that top players will join that league if they cut regions

Which to me is a tacit admission that they know their ‘optimal solution’ will not provide adequate pathways to resource the national side

Even though it was disjointed, you can see the changes in Munster this season

Scrum is more aggressive, lineout is much cleaner, forwards playing narrower and more direct, and there’s a general ball handling improvement

Decent start with a host of talent yet to return

I liked this before I seen the altered caption because “dig up stupid” is an underused meme

Midseason weather mixed with early season rust... but Munster start with 2 wins from 2 for the first time since 2021, and that's huge for them

My report for RTÉ Sport ⬇️
Classy Crowley guides Munster to win over Cardiff
Munster made it two wins from two to start their URC season after a narrow 23-20 win over Cardiff in Thomond Park on Saturday night.

No fewer than 9 changes from Stuart Lancaster ahead of Connacht's clash with the Scarlets

Cian Prendergast returns as captain with Ben Murphy and Jack Carty forming a new look half-back pair

There's also returns for Ireland's Jack Aungier, Darragh Murray and Hugh Gavin (#23)
caolanscully.bsky.social
Leo Cullen has made 7 changes to the Leinster side ahead of their rematch with the Bulls at Loftus.

There's still 13 internationals in the 23; but there are first starts of the season for Paddy McCarthy, Tom Clarkson and Max Deegan among others

Ciarán Frawley leads a 6/2 bench
caolanscully.bsky.social
Craig Casey has become the latest Ireland star to emerge as an injury doubt for the upcoming internationals

The Limerick man picked up a tigh strain and could miss the next few weeks for Munster

Jamie Osborne, Jacob Stockdale, Mike Lowry & Hugo Keenan also injured/doubts
caolanscully.bsky.social
No Craig Casey for Munster so it's Ethan Coughlan & Jack Crowley at half-back for Munster's home opener against Cardiff.

There's also starts for Ben O'Connor (#15) and Ruadhán Quinn (#7) as the side confirmed a number of fresh injuries including Mike Haley and Alex Kendellen
caolanscully.bsky.social
Richie Murphy has made four changes to his side ahead of their Round 2 trip to Edinburgh

Jacob Stockdale and Mike Lowry miss out through injury meaning Werner Kok & Stewart Moore come in.

There's also starts for Tom Stewart and Sean Reffell in the pack, with Jude Postlethwaite on the bench

Oversight on my behalf. I would let him rest in this fixture anyways

With the confirmation of that Ireland 'A' game vs Spain confirmed (on the same day as Ireland v Japan), I tried my hand at seelction 2 fresh looking matchday squads.

Multiple Lions rested post Chicago, and 10 uncapped players included across the 46 players

Thoughts? 💭
