I am glad that I splurged for some vision coverage next year because I just got a little starstruck frisson about peripherally seeing the Philly Phanatic in this Panera and it took me a half second to realize it was just an elderly fella with a greenish bag, greyish puffy jacket and a teal ball cap.

I know you wanna put a dash in "Co-op" because it helps people pronounce it more like "coöp" without keyboard fanciness: but as it is from "cooperative", that is an extraneous hyphen.

I appreciate that on one hand maybe it means my projected vibe is something along the lines of "likely to be competent and helpful" but also am super amused by the fact that (while dressed up nice!) it was still assumed by two different ladies that I worked at this Korean grocery store.

Though I imagine it would make him feel even more intentional in his orthographic, syntactic, and stylistic choices, I bet e.e.cummings in contemporary times would be in a constant state of agitation with autocorrect constantly nudging his name to 'eel'.

As someone who thinks about demonyms a fair bit, whenever I see "USians" I wince a little.
But I just realized that maybe it could've been "United Statesmen" if the population at large was just capable of being a little more diplomatic.
