Scott Moe supports the pipeline proposal that Danielle Smith has decided to put forward, with this comment.
I wonder how both Moe and Smith would feel if PM Carney came out saying that the natural resources in AB and SK are Canadian, not theirs.

With all of his bluster about banning “cash grab speed cameras” I can’t help thinking that Premier Ford - or a close family member - may have got himself a speeding ticket recently.

I’m getting pretty sick of right wing politicians implying the left need to get better at hearing things they don’t agree with as a cure for the political division and violence of the modern age.
Need I point out that these folks:
- debate in bad faith, usually deploying logical fallacies.

Listening to Danielle Smith on #CBC #FrontBurner this morning was painful. If she spoke about every topic the way she spoke about oil and gas, she’d be a lot more compelling.
Her misinformation about puberty blockers and trans youth was awful.
As were her comments about Charlie Kirk.

In an interview last week, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre suggested (with no evidence) that the person killing Charlie Kirk did so because they didn’t agree with what Mr. Kirk said.
When asked for how we can end political violence, he answered that people need to get better at dealing…

Cancel culture warfare was never about silencing free speech. It was laying the groundwork for what is currently happening: the silencing of dissenting and critical voices of the Dear Leader.

If you’re currently angry that there are too many immigrants taking (below market wages) jobs away from your country’s youth and citizens then the propaganda has worked.
The problem isn’t immigration.
It’s the below market wage jobs.
The problem is capitalism.

Neoliberalism/laissez-faire capitalism has given us:
- exploitative corporations

We have multiple provinces with historic wildfires. Multiple provinces under their third or fourth heat warnings this summer already. West Nile virus showing up in southern Canada.
But, sure, climate change isn’t real and we should *absolutely* pull more fossil fuels out of the ground.

Recognising Palestine is performative at best - even with the conditions. Without removing the illegal Israeli settlements and a recognition of Israel’s historial annexation of Palestinian territory and war crimes - up to present day - this will do little to ease tensions in the region IMHO.

Did you ever wonder why those neoliberalists and capitalists who decried “You won’t anything and be happy” a few years ago won’t do anything against streaming services and digital subscriptions who say that you don’t own what you pay for - you’re just renting it??

Saw my first Fuck Carney flag today. A dude, hopefully on his lunch break or day off, wearing it and a large syringe prop with the word “bioweapon” on it.
So, that’s fun.
Especially protesting against a centre-right neoliberal market-solutions capitalist PM.

People are starving. There’s a genocide in Palestine. The far right are in control of Israel and the US. Capitalism has led to the widest wealth gap in history.
But sure, socialism is the threat.

So, y’all thought COVID lockdowns were the worst thing ever.
You’re now living in a year where there are 2 wars, a genocide, a large social democracy sliding (further) into right wing authoritarian, unprecendented climate change, and widening wealth disparities.
So, you know, happy Friday.

The Supporting Children and Students Act, 2025 is being tabled.
This would allow the minister of educations to directly supervise school boards for entirely ideological - not educational - or finiancial reasons.
From the same government failing to address funding shortfalls in education

Bill 5 could well usher in a wave of deregulation the likes of which the US has witnessed since Reagan.
Environmental, labour, planning protections could all be removed and all without the consultation of Indigenous peoples.
Please oppose this with your MPPs.

I work in a school in the Carleton riding. The nationwide Civix student vote went 36% CPC to 31% Liberal.
In our school, the vote was overwhelmingly for the Liberal.
Take from that what you will.
