I’d love to see the Yankees overhaul the staff this season. Ron Washington is available and there’s nobody better for defensive fundamentals than Washington, perfect add. I’d be calling on Jason Giambi and Willie Randolph too. Joe Maddon would be a killer “analytics but has feel” get. Gotta improve.

He also picked them to win before the game. He loves to sound smart. Offense didn’t show up and the defense was sloppy. Simple as that. No Classic Boone Ball. Cashman gets talented players and sure sometimes they don’t work out, but everyone regresses under Boone. The blame is pretty clear.

Other than the obvious black hole at 3B, I don’t think Cashman is the problem. A lot of his moves made/make sense. Boone, on the other hand, has had virtually all his young players fall apart offensively and even had long time veterans become sloppy messes on his watch. The blame is clear here.

I want Volpe gone. I think you can have Belli and Jasson in the outfield with Judge, not sure of the best defensive alignment, but it's doable. Question is whether Jasson can do enough with the bat. I'd like to think he can. I'm a big Martian fan, but I'm getting over hoping on young dudes.

Yankees gotta #ResignBelli, but how do they get better in the lineup for 2026? Sign Tucker and trade Dominguez? Sign Bichette and jettison Volpe? Sign Bregman and figure out what to do with McMahon? Offense has to be better. Just has to be.

A lot of the team will be the same. You can count on Wells, Rice, Jazz, and McMahon on the infield. Judge, Martian in the outfield. Can you improve on Belli? Probably not. Can you improve on Volpe? Duh, but will they?
