I have long felt that Sonny Gray did not get a fair shake in New York and remained a big fan, so seeing him get traded to the Red Sox sucks ass.

Devin Williams is a good pitcher and I know last season was a blip. That being said, I’m glad he won’t be a Yankee in 2026 because my heart can’t handle the potential of going through that again. Good luck on the Mets, pal.

Yankees gotta improve the offense in 2026, with Grisham unexpectedly back they should consider Tucker and/or Bichette a lot more because as much as I love Belli, that’s just running it back at that point and that’s a bad plan even if you’re a Wells believer like me.

Make no mistake, Grisham on a one-year deal is not a bad deal. It's more about how it becomes Belli vs. a bigger fish. Bringing back Belli just gives us the same offense as last year which we needed to improve on. That leaves just SS/3B as places to possibly upgrade and that ain't great.

Says a lot about what the vibe is among teams that Grisham took the qualifying offer over cashing in on the year he just had. Probably his career year and could've gotten 3-4 year deal. If he struggles in 2026, he'll be back in the low teens on a year or two at best.
