I think we should all send Transportation Secretary Duffy slippers and some pajamas for Christmas.
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

Doctor recommends Brand X insoles.

Buy them

They hurt. Too high and the arch is too far back.

Call tech support. "Well yes, we make them with the arch farther back and higher to correct your flat feet"

I don't want to correct my feet. It's how I'm built. I just want support.

Grrrrr

Now that Bowie is gone it feels like I never go outside.

We used to go for walks 4-5 times a day. When he was younger, 'cuz he loved to walk. Older, he needed to.

Anne & I have taken up what used to be his big afternoon walk as our walk time. It's good for us and helps fill the gap left behind.

Chicago weather alert: "GALE WEATHER ALERT! Front moving through could produce winds up to 45 mph!"

Ex-pat Floridian who lived thru Andrew, Charlie, Katrina, and the summer of '05: "Eh, thats barely a tropical storm."

I know the use of Arabic numerals might be concerning to some but have you stopped to consider the total infiltration of the higher maths with Greek letters for variables?

Beta, delta, gamma, theta, Epsilon, Pi, phi, and the like.

I smell conspiracy!

What were the ancient Grwwks up to? Hmmm?

Today at the @caltech.edu alumni luncheon we've shared a table with grad students, post docs, phds, and other very accomplished and brilliant folk.

And little 'ole me.

But they were all seemed interested in my story about the Center.

I guess I did OK.

Companies who fight hard to prevent unions obviously have an employee base that desperately need a union to represent them.

Employees who don't push for unionization are obviously being treated well by their employer.

U-Boat anyone?

So, for this alumni luncheon we've put together some business casual outfits. I got some stunning new heels.

I think we'll look sharp. Pics later.

But for the museum exploration later, gonna be slipping into my trusty custom Pride 2025 Chucks.

Smart A-Line dress and blazer, hose and Chucks. ✔️✅️

When you plan is to climb onto the erg and row a good routine yet you spend the next period of time straightening up the office and delaying the row.

*sigh*

Means I really need to row but don't wanna.

Looking forward to an alumni lucheon of Anne's alma mater at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry today.

Eat some trendy yet vaguely edible museum food.

Listen to the president speak.

Get pressed for donations.

"Network" wirh local alumni.

Then the real fun: Explore the museum.

As we're closing in on the end of November and thus the end of Hurricane Season, I breathe a sigh of relief.

We moved to Chicago but still owned our home in florida. All summer I was anxious that a storm would brew up.

But nothing. Phew!

And we close on the sale next week.

Double phew.

Ok
I'm a woman.

I'm supposed to like wearing panty hose or tights, right?

For one thing, I can't get them one without dislocating something.

And I always fell like I'm being squeezed.

How am I failing at this?

At the salon today refresh my color.

Many years I'd thought of coloring my hair. But didn't for one reason or other. Maybe it'd hurt my hair. Maybe I was being too outlandish. Maybe I shouldn't.

Couple of months ago I took the leap.

And I'm never looking back.

Hey Megyn Kelly,

14-year-old Eloise would like a word:

“If my voice makes you uncomfortable, good…
because the minute adults start defending predators by defending the age of a child, you’re not protecting the truth, you’re protecting the predator.”

Sound up! 🔥🔊
