I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

Yeah "cardiac vitality via EKG" is also not a thing.

The only way to tell a patient's age by EKG is to look at the birthdate listed on the EKG!

These two are adorable 🥰🥰

This is a raisin-free zone. 😂

Yall are so wrong about oatmeal raisin cookies, chunkys, Raisin Bran, and raisin bread.

Plus, that carrot and raisin salad that nobody makes anymore.

Nice! Never been there either.

(Farthest west I've been is TX, not counting brief layover in Denver)

This should include that particularly vile "fragrance" called cigarette smoke (gags in the elevator)

I've never been to CA. This looks beautiful!

Agree. I do inpatient and I'm afraid of missing stuff so I double and triple check things. Any meds a pt takes that I'm not as familiar with (eg some non-cardiac meds), I'm doing interaction checks.
cardiacpa1.medsky.social
I'm referring to professional drug-drug interaction checker sites that hospital pharmacists use (Lexicomp, MicroMedex). We use those.

I prescribe dangerous antiarrhythmics that weren't studied w things like turmeric, milk thistle, etc, esp since manufacturers aren't required to list all ingredients

I have this convo w pts at least weekly. Supplements are regulated by FDA as food, not as medication. Companies not required to establish safety or efficacy prior to them coming onto the market.

And most of them aren't studied w Rx meds so no interaction data available.

This is Clio. She did not study for the test today. Also does not know how to read. 12/10 (IG: paspastotoro)
a black and gray long-haired yorkiepoo sits at a desk in a university classroom. a piece of paper lays on the desk in front of her, her paws propped up on the desk as if she's bracing herself. there are students in the background hunched over and working on paper in front of them. the pup looks at the camera with a concerned side eye. she's realizing she probably should have read some of the homework before eating it.

Couple of problems with this tweet...

1. A GP or general practitioner does not really exist in the United States. There is no GP residency for example.

2. Most family doctors believe in vaccines as much as pediatricians do.

3. Vaccine extortion mill? Big money? I drive a 2008 Toyota RAV4.
A tweet from @kenny_j_miller

His pfp is a white man with a goatee. The tweet is in dark mode.

Pediatricians are vaccine extortion mills. That’s how they make big money. Better to take your kid to a good GP.
