For Warlock Ares where he's at his absolute worst, I don't think he can ever truly be redeemed 🤷♂️ meanwhile for Ares in his canon, he would fall easily if someone he loved betrayed or died since the initial choice that skewered into both his canon and the Warlock AU was inconsequential.

Looking at this again and it makes perfect sense that Connie got his scars by having his homemade trap accidentally explode in his face. He has a talent for explosives I guess.
His big brother Starling! Ever since they were kids they were doing stupid things like breaking into houses (not to steal anything, just for the art of breaking in) or pick pocketing nobles (also for fun).
