Katie Porter losing her shit at the reporter’s banal questions overshadowed her biggest fuckup: saying that she didn’t need the votes of Trump supporters. I mean, a politician can *think* that mathematically they may not need a segment of voters, but it’s utterly deranged to say that on camera.

I know Mike Johnson says there is nothing for the House to do but there is.

You see by law a budget was supposed to be in place by Sept 30th, but Rs haven’t passed one. The reason? There isn’t a GOP budget. They haven’t even started working on one. This is what the House should be doing FFS!

They aren’t “letting another country put an Air Force base in Idaho”.

Singapore’s Air Force is at the same location in Idaho. We allow them airspace to train since they are essentially a city state. Qatar is basically in the same situation.

We would be hosting a training detachment, not a base.

Now that the Peace Prize has been awarded to a Venezuelan woman, I doubt this ceasefire will last more than a week or two. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was less than that either. The only reason it happened at all was to try and push Trump over the line for the Nobel.
