The MAGA crowd is twisting themselves into pretzels saying Democrats support a dictator and that Trump has the authority to go into Venezuela without approval, Venezuelans are all celebrating in the streets, on and on. A short while ago, they were clapping for their deportation.

Had an interesting birthday dinner conversation with an old work friend tonight. He has absolutely no hope left for this country. He says as long as a large swath of our electorate is made up of ignorant, apathetic people that democracy will not survive.

So, I just read that electricity prices are expected to go up by more than 10% next year in Florida because of the GOP tax bill. Much of that increase will pay for utility operating costs. Why are we paying for that when the companies can also write these off on their taxes?

A sad thing happening in Florida next month. We tried, but the judge sided with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, composed of hunters and developers. 172 innocent bears will be killed with no chance of escape.

I can’t even imagine how terrible this year’s flu season (and other viruses and diseases) will get with medical staff fired and no meeting, as far as I know, to determine the new flu strains for vaccines.
