Definitely thought this was going to be like, “Don’t let your dad guilt-trip you into writing a Thanksgiving poem” or, “No, it’s none of your copycat aunt’s business what your characters are doing.” Instead, it’s great advice for personal essaysists/memoirists.

Honestly, imagine being ridiculous enough to try to take on Mark Kelly. He served in the US Navy during the Gulf War. He has a BS and an MS. He was a for-realsies NASA astronaut who spent more than 54 days in space. He's a US Senator. He stayed with his wife after she was shot in the head.

I am skeptical, and of course I want consumers to support actual bookstores, but Alibris sells used books, and it’s nice that they’ll be keeping books out of landfills, unlike Shein’s own fashion products. If only they would change their whole business model for the better.
