this is why i keep bringing immigration into talk of putting trans rights on the chopping block. backtracking on their pro-immigrant stance didn't save them in the last election & here they are trying to compromise with the gestapo. "sacrifice a little now so we can fight for you later," is a lie.

Do you carry documents that prove your citizenship everywhere you go? Cause I sure the fuck don't, and to do it would need to carry birth certificate, previous marriage certificate, and name change order to prove the man on my ID is the baby girl on my birth certificate.

judging by the video someone shared, it's likely he's having police protect ice because if he doesn't trump can legally send in the military to do it ... but like, either way brown and black people are getting kidnapped? at least if he forced trump's hand people would see how dire the situation is.

you can show them evidence of the mistreatment we've endured, but they'll just move the goal post. they refuse to acknowledge how repulsive their own behavior or that of their representatives are bc they need to believe their losses are everyone else's fault but their own.

these people pulled the "enjoy the camps" strat last time to coerce votes out of minorities & it didn't save them. they can't believe this is at all endearing to their party. they'd just rather punch down on defenseless people rather than pressure the party to course correct and do the right thing.

a very low effort edit of the "Hmm today i will vote for-" comic. a smug looking individual in a blue shirt with a red check mark on it crosses their arms, raises an eyebrow and considers reaching out to minority voters. at their computer they type (presumably on some sort of social media), "we're gonna throw even more of you under the bus this time & if you don't like it then enjoy the camps!" in the next panels, a graph shows republicans win by an even larger margin than expected, as the individual in the blue shirt continues to smug it up.

He said this deliberately because he is a Nazi and he wants you to know he's a Nazi who you can't touch. He also wants other Nazis to know they can be open about the fact they are Nazis too.

funniest thing about this (and someone said this in a reply) is that there doesn't even seem to be a theoretical bigot on the right who's saying, "ill join you if you promise that some random trans kid in another state doesn't get to participate in sports." so they're doing this for nothing.

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can't protect ANY groups if we can't win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That's not "erasing" them; it's long-horizon strategy.
