The whole crew of K-pop demon hunters (age 4/5) showed up at my door, brandishing weapons at me, so I naturally had to pretend to be dead

I started a personal project.

I am trying to talk to journalists and other media types about their time reporting in Vancity.

It was an idea that Mike Eckford sparked when we used to get Terry Bell to read bed time stories on the radio.

I finished the first one and its with George Garrett.
Ah what a treat to hear George's stories again, thanks for doing this Eric :)

Everywhere I go, people are wearing Jays gear. People I know who have never watched baseball (me included) are staying up past midnight to for an 18th inning. The coffee shop has baseball donuts.

And, I cannot emphasize this enough, I am in a city *3000 km from Toronto*

Canada is behind this team

“It’s weird to be gone for so long and then be back. I couldn’t ask teachers any questions, it was hard to study, ” said Sable (Gr. 12)

“I missed a few of my teachers. I’m excited to be back. I have so many questions to ask about all the school work I tried to get done but I kinda fell behind on.”
“It’s a little scary being back, especially since we missed so much,“ said Quinn (Gr. 11)

“I’ll probably try to study more and lock in a little more, and put more effort into it than I would have had to before"
Spent the morning talking to students in Grande Prairie about the return to classes after the three week teacher's strike. They are excited -- but nervous.

I made my account a while ago, but was never active on it.

It still had my outlet from 3 jobs ago, haha.
I've finally migrated from Twitter/X to here!

I'm not sure what took me so long but better late then never!

Lots of updates to share today as Bill 2, the Back to School Act, is now law in Alberta.

Plenty of criticism of the government for stripping teachers of their charter rights. And pledges from govt to improve school conditions. #AbLeg #AbEd
