I think it's worth pointing out that many (#NotAll) conservatives are SINCERELY using "freedom" to mean the EXACT OPPOSITE of how those on the left use it.

So their embrace of "unfree" policies does not reflect confusion or cowardice or false consciousness.

It reflects a different MEANING.

The guys-with-guns-threatening-Feds are not opposed to ANY sort of Federal control.

They are opposed to Federal intervention that blocks their freedom TO oppress. So ... Dem govts. The current Trump govt has FREED them to indulge in their oppressive desires.

It IS freedom, for them.

There are two types of freedom:

1. FROM oppression.
2. TO oppress.

And (2) has always been what the NRA types embraced.

So Trump IS LIBERATORY for them.

What I don’t understand is why drug runners in the Caribbean pack their boats with so many people. Say the average male is 170 lb, that’s over 1000 pounds of drugs they are not carrying for having at least six other guys on the boat.

I’m willing to bet they do math better than MAGA.
