Also, if I am asking for help finding something, you cannot BELIEVE how annoying it is to have people just like the post and move on. It's like trying to ask for directions, and while most of the people on the street ignore you, one person walks up, gives you a big thumbs up, then just keeps walking

I used to be able to just think of poses to draw people in. Now I go from looking at the references I have, to messing with my plastic models, to searching for more references, to being too irritated to actually draw jack shit. And all the tips are useless bullshit like "trust your gut"

Anyone know any free art reference sites that don't suck? All the free photo ref sites I can find are horrible quality or pathetically small, or they're a "free trial" that means after ten minutes they want your whole wallet

I think if a government shutdown stops funds to anything, it should mean all the politicians causing it should also not get paid until it's over. It's kinda bullshit that they stretch this shit out and the fallout is SNAP being paused.

Just ran into the guy who cleans the building, and apparently whatever jackwagon stole my food emptied out the box, filled it with trash, and left it on the stairs.
He even suspected a specific room, so I don't think this is an isolated thing 😡

Finished the pinup drawing I was working on of my fursona. Changed the pose a little bc the lineart looked wierd, but I'm happy with it :)

Been working on drawing some characters I like that have different styles and shapes to em, to see if my design style plan is working. Since these are just face design work, I drew them all looking straight ahead bc I wanted something uniform. Also didn't do any work on clothes yet, that's later

First practice on a finished image in a new style. I decided to start with my tapir fursona. Changed the ears to look more like tapir ears, and switched the braids to a ponytail bc I feel like that's more fitting bc irl I'm too lazy to braid it.

Weirdly enough, the Mii creator is good reference for practicing different character designs. If you try to search for "different styles of nose" or "varied face shapes" you usually get a lot of the same shape, but this particular creator has so much variety that it's great inspiration

I'm bad at practicing bc my brain kinda checks out when it comes to drawing a bunch of the same thing, so I'm starting by drawing some different potential styles for eyes, faces, noses, bodies, etc. So far I've done eyes and faces, working on noses rn

Thinking about an idea I had years ago that was basically reading poems but putting all the words in alphabetical order first, still using the cadence of the original verses. I think it could be fun in a chaotic sort of way
