Beyond helping establish DHS itself in 2003, Mr. Mitnick was a senate-confirmed Trump choice for General Counsel for DHS in his first term. I've talked with him a few times, and he's not a man for hyperbole. So bear that in mind when you see him calling out DHS's "lawlessness, fascism, and cruelty."

Tens of thousands of Twin Cities residents labeled as “agitators” by Fox News, conditioning followers to think anyone in our city would be deserving of execution by ICE.

We can peacefully protest, and still they will hate us. But nonetheless we hold onto our peace. Because that peace is for us.

300+ Twin Cities businesses are closed today to protest ICE. A speakeasy is hosting a street medic workshop. A French restaurant is donating its profits to a Burmese restaurant. My friend's next big gay party is raising funds for mutual aid. This is what community looks like.

It's -20 degrees in Minneapolis & my friends are getting ready to join faith leaders in putting their bodies on the line at an outdoors protest this morning. If you're a praying person, please say a prayer for their safety, their resolve, and that their prayers will be answered.

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.
