#eventually the #ice will melt away
& we’ll swim in this lake
that maybe will evaporate, some day
so we can walk
upon the bottom’s solid sand & rocks,
but all that’s only talk,
today
we have to find a way
to skate across.

Music Living plays
is never not ablaze, it beats
such #heat it melts our freeze,
revealing keys
soul’s fingers flit
across without intent,
sense what is
the rhythm of a song that will not #quit
even if we cease
listening to it.

Life brought to light
might seem quite a mess,
in which case, I #guess
you could choose to #shun the sun,
but perhaps you’d get more done,
find some direction, if you let
its shadows help you set
a better course to run, brighter

😵 that's hard to fathom!! it's 20 here with a "feels like" 7. Brrr.🥶😂 Bet you still have all kinds of critters running around, too? Everything here (except the birds) seems to be in deep sleep.

Rulers cannot #measure
treasures found
must be judged by what’s around;
a bright & shiny life
#sprouted on the ground,
surrounded by what’s dun & fallen down,
imperial calls small (2 inches tall)
I say sprawls
all the way to where the angels call.

if not with your eyes, then with your mind,
a tiny door,

of light that hides behind it bright #azure,
of which, without even seeing it,

#downcast eyes surmise
surface lines bespeak
boundaries we mustn’t breach
lest we
fall into in-betweens,
drown in dark & deep
#schisms we believe must be
dividing everything;
but eyes to skies can see
lines don’t mean a thing
but light, meandering.
