Accessibility isn't just ramps and captions. Inclusion is imperfect, but organizations need to listen when disabled people tell them their needs. Especially when it's a fairly simple one like this, they should find ways to accommodate (or at least not make us pay for something we can't eat!).

Advocating for yourself and others like you when you have celiac disease feels incredibly difficult sometimes. I can often end up feeling like I'm being a problem when I speak up for what is actually an accessibility issue for people with this disability.

Update on this: self-advocacy is hard, but it's worth it! Edmonton Opera just emailed me to let me know that there will now be gluten-free boxes available for people who need them (celiac/allergy). It's good to see an arts organization being responsive to concerns like this.

Fed and watered Doughfus this morning 7AM. By noon, it grew above the black ring as pictured.
Remember, gluten free sourdough is not going to double in size when making dough. But when done correctly, it will still rise.
