Even AT&T can have a bummer crop. A telephone pole didn't quite live up to expectations at the Chester, NJ telephone pole farm. Yes, I've had photos from here before - but come on, it's a field of telephone poles! Started in 1928 it was used until the 1980s.

Driving through the forest along the Oregon Coast and we see a person with a surf board walk into the #wood. So we pull over and walk down the path for a mile or so and suddenly the forest ends and a sandy beach appeared before us. Surprise

So when driving down A5 near Tregarth, Wales, the police want you to pay attention to the road, not the dragon.

Given where I was on the East Side of Manhattan I believe that is the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (Senior) - its the second portion, that goes from Wards Island to Queens (because that bridge is actually 3 bridges). The Bridge goes over Hell Gate (part of the East River)

Having seen the #NYC rats of the eighties I have to say this new generation seems very healthy and clean in comparison.

1/3 A covered bridge in Maryland! I didn't know there were any covered bridges still south of the Mason Dixon line, but indeed there are. There are 6 left in Maryland and this one in Jerusalem, MD is the farthest East (still West of the Chesapeake)

Downtown Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. At almost 55,000 people it is the most populous city in North Idaho!

Okay, I manipulated the saturation on this photo, I admit, I toned it DOWN. I have no idea why the sky was so radioactively blue that night.

Along the Hudson River looking west in "upstate" New York. New York State has a lot of "upstate" which is basically everything above NYC, which juts out south at the bottom of the state. Meaning Upstate New York is 99.5% of the state.

One of the many (65?) lighthouses in Maine. Often in Maine they are called Head Lights, but only when proper - those New Englanders are very proper. See a Head is a high piece of land with a drop-off that juts out into the ocean.

Monday was very confusing for me. It was Ground Hog's Day and Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, and yet I saw my first robin of Spring!?!

These two tried and true methods of prognostication seem to be at odds! Its almost as if there isn't any science behind them at all!
