#OTD in 1865, King Leopold I of the Belgians was buried. An impressive hearse was built to carry the king’s coffin which was covered with a royal mantle, a crown and a scepter.

I think there's a difference between being influenced by say 'Allo 'Allo, Indiana Jones etc., being therefore interested in the bad guys' uniforms etc., *&* being a racist Nazi.

Alfred Bestall was my grandfather's cousin, I'm proud to say. (I never met him as he was very old & lived in the opposite end of the country.)
