I personally would cut them after cooking because if I want to cook the steaks to medium, it's easier to do that with whole cuts.
If you plan to cook all the meat thoroughly (well done/a la carne asada), then you can marinade as strips.

I wouldn't cut between marinade and cooking. Good luck
