The pace of the energy transition throughout the past decade has dramatically exceeded expectations.

Global solar capacity is now 4x higher than the IEA projected. And electric vehicles now account for over 20% of new car sales.

Renewables are the future, so let's invest in them.

Climate-breaking fossil fuel companies have no business being invited to and attending important climate action discussions at COP30.
The COP30 deal has fallen short.

Morally, economically, environmentally and scientifically. There are reports that a record number of fossil fuel lobbyists (1,600) attended this UN climate summit.

Banning vested interests from the COP process is long overdue.

Tax billionaires, reduce inequality, and fix the social contract so our country can provide for us all.
At the Budget, the Green Party's message is clear: Cut Bills. Tax Billionaires.

1 in 7 parents say that they will struggle to afford a suitable winter coat for their children this winter.

No child should have to worry about the cold, let alone 300,000. A national child poverty strategy is needed, and within it must include the permanent scrapping of the two-child benefit cap.

Perhaps Labour should learn how to govern properly instead of scapegoating people fleeing conflict and dire conditions at home.

Refugees are welcome.
The Greens don’t believe providing safe refuge for endangered asylum seekers is an “out-of-control” policy.

Nor do we believe making life more difficult for those in need is the way to unify British society.

Refugees are welcome.

COP30 is being flooded by fossil fuel lobbyists — more than any country delegation except Brazil. While other parties take their money, we never will.

A cross-party MP inquiry found that nature does not hamper house building and was instead being scapegoated by ministers as a "lazy narrative" for the country's housing woes.

Britain needs a planning system that cares for both people and the planet if we are to have a sustainable future.

Scrapping green subsidies has been described as a "short-termist sabotage".

Reducing heat pump subsidies and cutting home insulation funding will be shortsighted and ineffective in reducing energy bills in the long term. We must shift away from gas and move towards renewables and electricity.

Over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli settlers and soldiers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in the last two years.

According to the UN, October was the deadliest month for settler violence since it started keeping track in 2006.

Tax the polluters💰

Bring water under public ownership👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Bring British waters back up to standard🔨
Water companies have been paying out £billions to shareholders while Britain's rivers and waterways have been riddled with pollution.

And to rub it in, our bills have been hiked at the same time.

It's time to tax these polluters to clean up their mess.

When different pollsters show different results, it’s worth looking at the comparative dates when the polls were taken.

(Generally speaking, sample size makes little difference; you don’t taste soup by eating the whole pot.) 💚

Poverty affects almost a third of children in the UK.

Labour could choose to lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty immediately by fully scrapping the two-child benefit cap.

Remember: child poverty is a political choice.
November 10, 2025 at 10:56 AM
The "hard choices" always fall on those that increasingly have little more to give. But it doesn't have to be like that; we can create a fair tax system – a hard choice that would truly benefit us all.
"It's a result of political choices. And we can make different political choices."

@zackpolanski.bsky.social on how the Green Party would fix our unfair tax system that taxes work more than wealth.
