in general music is the easiest because you can have it in the background while doing literally anything. and i got addicted to cramming as much listening as possible as background to downtime of any sort.

it's definitely that /where/ I've explored is specialized or obscure. but that doesn't necessarily mean a lot of media, it just means I'm attracted most to things that happen to be lesser known or whatever.

(but in music specifically, again, that's an exception where I absolutely know A Lot)

what happens when your taste is as non melodic and timbre centric as me. is that your way of being reminded of a song or getting a song in your head becomes a random metallic clank that's the right pitch & quality to take you to the same realm your favorite songs do momentarily

any industrial irl sound the same pitch as the weird metallic repeating sounds in "Maken X - Mist" is registering as that song which is very good thank you cryptovolans for training me to become obsessed with the Maken X soundtrack using manipulative tactics such as "unlabeled inclusion on CD mix"
