Great to end the day on Thursday doing a community walk around Castlepark to pick up on issues residents want to see resolved then doing a wee litter pick session! ⭐️

Child poverty in Scotland is lower than 30 years ago and falling, unlike the rest of the UK.

But there is much more to do - by working together, we must deliver more joined-up services for families, when and where they need it.

I was humbled to spend some time with carers who attended the 3rd iteration of our Mental Health Services Carers Forum who shared their stories with me and raised issues that I can follow up on. Excited to see how this forum develops and keen to support them where I can! 🤍

Politics aside, I hate to see women from working class backgrounds get the sort of abuse Rayner has experienced & seeing the personal lives of politicians being used as games. I don’t think she had ill intentions but party politics seems to ride most people’s judgement. It’s really sad

Recently, some of our young people visited @scotparl.bsky.social for the launch of @stafscot.bsky.social report on the Minimum Income Guarantee pilot for care leavers. Together we're calling for a pilot that guarantees a minimum income for care-experienced young people doing modern apprenticeships.
