My wife and I got the EA App version of the game and as soon as we got past the queue to enter the main menu screen, it said we didn't have the game... Even though we preloaded the game on the EA App. Ahhh day one issues.

Yeah I totally get it. Quest for Glory is one of my favourites but it's more Sierra adventure with a layer of RPG mechanics tacked on.

It actually took me a while to respond to this one, mainly because my taste in RPGs tend to be hybrid ones, so I just consulted a top 100 RPGs list and picked the first four I thought were good ones I enjoyed 😁

It's different, like every previous iteration of Dragon Age. But it also feels like a fantasy version of Mass Effect 2, and I just happen to like Mass Effect 2.

And placed them into the game. Maybe we're just spoiled nowadays and maybe my tastes have changed too from a decade ago. Anyway, have yet to finish it so will reserve my final decision in the review. It's not a bad game, just had to roll my eyes at some parts, especially some of Madison's /2

Playing Heavy Rain for the first time and kind of surprised it did so well? I guess for its day it was a technical marvel and it was considered "mature" (if titillation is what you're after) but it feels like Cage stitched a bunch of common tropes and cliches found on the big screen /1

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed how over the top their animation was.

I'm always skeptical when video games make it on the big (or small) screen. I've been happily proven wrong in recent years but there's been more flops than successes. Life is Strange's gameplay mechanic (time travel) has already been covered in film many times before so how is it going to stand out?

Didn't they do an episode together at one point? Was too much gun lore for me to handle 😄.

/agree. SQ3 was definitely one of the better ones. I have a soft spot for 5 though because of its similarities to Star Trek.
